Born and raised in Moline, Illinois, I served in the U.S. Navy as a Boatswain’s Mate out of Norfolk, Virginia. After returning to the Quad Cities, I earned an Associate Degree from Black Hawk College and a Bachelor’s Degree from St. Ambrose University. I went on to work for the U.S. Army for 12 years on the West Coast at the National Training Center, spending eight years training Artillery units and four years training Light Infantry and Airborne forces. After relocating my family back to the area, I worked for Harley-Davidson for three years and later in the automotive industry for just over a year.
